Summer vacation is coming .
Is there any nice place you can recommend for summer vacation?
Or where do you want to go this summer?
YES, COLORADO!!!
Huge project at work, I’ve been extremely uncertain whether our family trip, that’s been planned for months would be cancelled.
Yesterday morning our CEO told me I could go. Yeehaaa. :bouncy:
Few hours later my boss calls and told me the CEO changed his mind wants me to stay. :fume:
I call the wife, she yells at me, almost cries (probably did). I have to find a solution. ![]()
I call outside lawyer, he says he can help out next week on the big deal. Call boss, get his approval, go upstairs and speak with CEO, he grudgingly consents.
It’s back on. :bouncy:
But that was 5 pm, still had 20 hours, anything could happen.
Worked like mad this morning (arrived in office before 6 am), had phone conf w boss till 11:30 he gave me laundry list of things to do before leaving, I stuck it in a drawer, sent one final email, and here I am, in the airport lounge waiting for my flight.
YEEEEEHAAAAAAAA!!! AMERICA HERE I COME.
:bouncy:
I’ll probably not get there until fall, but can anyone recommend this island? Heard a few good things.
Have a great holiday, MT.
As for me, if I can take a week off this summer, I’ll be wanting most of all to spend some or all of it on Green Island - but only in September, after the kids are back in school.
Derbyshire in England.
South Eastern Spain.
Not the touristy areas of Malaga or Torremolinos. Farther east towards Motril. As a matter of fact…about 6 kms west of Motril along the coast.
Lovely place.
Split in the former Yugoslavia used to be a recommendation. Not sure whats on there at the present.
Sorry, what exactly does “niceset” entail??
Vacation? What is that?
Wink.

Hey, if you need a fellow forumosan fix I’ll be in Denver from the 31st to the 4th. Send me a PM.
Sorry I missed you MJB. I hope you had a great time. We just returned at 5 am this morning from 9 jam-packed days of hiking, biking, rafting and other fun, so I didn’t see your message till just now. And, I shouldn’t even be on this forum, as I’m back in the cubicle digging out from under 100 odd emails, trying to prioritize urgent, extremely urgent and top urgent. But it was well worth it, as you can see. Here we are on Class 3 rapids on the Arkansas River near Buena Vista, not too far from Aspen. ![]()

Yikes! I sent the above photo to my brother in Denver this morning and he just sent me this article that was on the front page of the Denver Post this morning about the exact route that we rafted:

Five deaths this season highlight dangers of commercial rafting. . . [/url]
Gives me a new appreciation for solid land.
Summer holiday fun?
Fly down to Queenstown, NZ. Bring your ski clothes.
