I was having a conversation with a coworker and I said a word. (Can’t say it because the person might read here, and they will know my secret identity, but it is nothing).
He instantly stopped me and said you can’t say that word.
What? Why?

He then got out his cellphone and googled. After a minute he looked at me.

I now know that this coworker will never be a friend.
What’s not to like? He thought he knew something, but thought it through and concluded that you were fine. I’d be flattered.
He didn’t think it through. He called me out, saying I shouldn’t use a certain word. When I asked why, he didn’t know. Trying too hard to be culturally sensitive. Maybe he does this all the time and no one calls bs.
