The smile face from UserReport won’t go away.
Thanks for asking if I want to send feedback, but I don’t. I don’t want to see the smile face after I’ve declined. It would be nice if I had the option to make it just go away. It is distracting and gets in the way.
Thanks
That thing is REALLY irritating! I didn’t answer it in case it was some scam. And now it won’t go away. :bluemad:

Thanks for the note, David
I tried to push it as far down as I could. Let’s see how this works out for now
Already got almost a dozen responses, and it’s only been up a few minutes. Thank you to all of you how are filling it in!

OK. Well at least now we know it’s authentic and not some trojan thingie! I guess I’ll just fill it in, then.
I filled in the user survey. One issue I noted at the end is that it lists location as “Taiwan, Province of China”.
What currency is the annual income in? NT? USD? Euros?
damn it some brown piece of shit is on the left side of my screen.
We need a full investigation into why it’s there. So annoying.

It’s Rutger Hauer, junior. I actually quite like him as an actor.
There’s nothing to be done about it. The person who wrote the programm for this survey didn’t fill in all the options for the location drop down menu himself but used a premade set. Unfortunately, some of the most widely used sets list Taiwan as “Taiwan, Province of China”. I have the same problem on another website I’m registered at where my location is also shown as “Taiwan, Province of China”. I complained about it and I know a lot of other users did as well but the guy who runs the site says there’s nothing he can do about but buy a different set and rewrite the code for the website and for obvious reasons he’s not gonna do it.
DISCLAIMER: My knowledge of this things is limited and that’s how I understood it when it was explained to me. If any of you tech-geeks can phrase it better, have a go. Just don’t shoot me please. ![]()
I think it might be the famous Sam Wong everybody is talking about nowadays.
I cant find the survey.
About the calendar, make it so it can sync with people’s personal Google/Outlook calendars.
gotta be USD.
only such a fromage survey could be designed with that in mind.

What browser are you using? It seems to work fine in Chrome/Rockmelt (in Windows)

OSX with Firefox also works fine.
I noticed that if I make my window a little larger I hardly notice the smiley face. I think that most people here, including the quiet ones like me, will post suggestions in the feedback section. But I am not trying to administrate a popular website. So sorry if I came off as a little harsh. I am very content with the site as it is now, but I noticed a lot of people complaining about the search engine on Forumosa.com I was so frustrated with it I started using Google search when I wanted to find anything. I never said anything; I think this is what you were trying to find out by adding the user survey.
I will try to be more patient.
having it pop up all the time is really annoying. Even if you answer it it comes up again.
please remove the spam asap
Yes, I found that insulting and was very disappointed when I saw it. I could not believe Forumosa allowed it considering we are in TAIWAN. ![]()
I tried to use it in good faith to say something about the search engine… I got a blank screen and locked browser for my efforts. I’m on windows 7 with IE 9.
O well I tried.
Two things:
-
As previously mentioned, “Taiwan, Province of China” is insulting. I almost quit the survey at that point.
-
The smiley face doesn’t go away even after you’ve filled in the questionnaire.
