After reading through all the discussion on the Hartzell’s COMMENTARIES on The Taiwan Question thread forumosa.com/taiwan/viewtopic.php?t=63371 I still find that there is a lot of confusion regarding the legal details of Taiwan’s status under international law, treaty law, US constitutional law, etc.
