A decent talk show like 康熙來了。 Not only was this good for not making Taiwanese TV as crap as it is, but it was one of the most watched Chinese language talk shows of all time. I remember my first trips to the China everyone watched this show. Now it seems to be the other way around with young Taiwanese watching Chinese shows.
Taiwan could use a little more soft power to humanize Taiwanese people in the eyes of the Chinese. They certainly aren’t going to do it with music.
