I’ve only been to five of 'em.
Is the HK harbourscape really that amazing? It’s nice and everything but at no.25? Nah!
24
Never been to the German one, Neuschwanstein. Like most of my fellow Germans, I guess.
Iris
25 hong kong harborscape
33 Canals of Venice
43 Louvre Museum
46 Carlsbad Caverns
67 Matterhorn (The one at Disneyland)
69 St. Mark’s Basilica & Campanile
85 San Francisco Bay and Cityscape
94 British Museum
100 Eiffel Tower
That’s 9.
24 as well. I can’t believe I’ve been to Neuschwanstein, but never to the Matterhorn…what a shame…
Been to 20 of them - didn’t see HK the first time round (well, can you have been to a skyline?)
- The Great Wall of China
- The Taj Mahal
- The Forbidden City
- Karnak Temple
- Hong Kong Harbour
- Temple of the Emerald Buddha
- Cappodocia
- Varanasi & the Ganges
- Louvre Museum
- MOMA
- Mount Everest
- Hagia Sophia
- Golden Temple
- Kathmandu Valley
- Petronas Towers
- Temple of Heaven
- New York skyline
- Topkapi Palace
- Statue of Liberty
- Eiffel Tower
Brought back some cool memories! Honestly though Topkapi Palace, Statue of Liberty, Eiffel Tower & Temple of Heaven weren’t all that great.
- Great Wall
- Bali
- Forbidden City
- Great Barrier Reef
- Hong Kong harborscape
- Louvre Museum (been to, but not inside)
- Leaning Tower of Pisa (been on it)
- Petronas Twin Towers
- Temple of Heaven
- Eiffel Tower
That makes 408.

So, I change mine to 562. I win!
I’ve been to 8 of them.
Seems like my sister is coming around a little bit more than I do…
24 wow… respect, maybe I should start to visit more important places than Taiwan
25 and 70.I guess Im far behind the winning 562.
How many years have you been traveling.
Who among us in Taiwan has never made that visa run to #25?
Number #22, I’ve been there, too.
OK, they’ve got the Carnival in Rio, and the Vegas Strip, but not the French Quarter during Mardis Gras? Come on! I want to say I’ve visited at least 3 of the Great Wonders!
Kind of a random list, don’t you think? I mean, the Kremlin and St. Basils are right together in Red Square - you “see” them both at the same time very easily.
Anyways… 38
I’ve been to 13 - not very good since I’ve been living abroad for 10 years.
My dad’s been to more than half - one of the wonders of retirement, I guess.
The sunsets in Bali are really famous. All the white bread comes out of the pub to sit on the terrace and watch for the last fifteen minutes or so as the sun appears to sink into the sea in a glorious explosion of color. They pause to contemplate the wonder of that for thirty seconds or so before going back into the pub for TV and darts. “Tick another off the list dear.”
I’ve never done a visa run. I guess I’ll have to go to HK on my own volition.
I’ve been to…
- the Louvre,
- Versailles,
- Chartres,
- Petronas Towers,
- the New York City skyline (from the trip when I performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2000),
- Chambord (the most beautiful chateau of the Loire Valley)
- Mont-St-Michel,
- San Francisco Bay,
- The Statue of Liberty,
- The British Museum, and
- The Eiffel Tower.
I’m headed for Bali when I return to Asia. So that makes 12. If it weren’t for many of them being in France, my list would be much shorter. All in all, not bad for a 24-year-old who has lived abroad for only 3-1/4 years combined.
Edit: Oops, I guess that makes my total 808 without Bali and 820 with it. I win! I win!
25, plus a few that aren’t on the list.

You may not have realised, but number 101 is right here in Taiwan:
Stragbasher’s Bedroom!
As your sister never comes round maybe you should take the opportunity? You would be the first forumosan to have an extraordinary experience.
This is NOT on the list:
And this IS:
??? :loco: :loco: :loco:
25
Zero
But I’ve been to the MCG, National Tennis Centre, Sydney Opera House, The Rocks, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Bells Beach, Torquey, The Great Ocean Road, Uluru, Ocean Grove and the Hopetoun Footy Ground.
I thought for sure I wouldn’t have seen any of these “Wonders”. You can see three of them and never leave the West.
- Grand Canyon
- San Francisco Bay/Cityscape
- Las Vegas Strip
