There shoud be no zoo unless

whan i was there, they were remolding some area but mostly for the visitors. Is it all they think is how to make more money? :unamused:

An earlier poster (a former zoo worker) pointed out the budget constraints the zoo has to work with. Attracting larger number of visitors will generate more revenue which in all likelyhood will be used to improve the living condition for the animals. The cost of operating a zoo is not cheap. I would also argue that by providing an opportunity for kids to be exposed to living creatures other than their own species, we may hope that an appreciation for all living things be cultivated. This even with less than ideal situations, Again, no public agencies, including the zoo, operate with unlimited resources. If you truly care about these animals, why not volunteer there, and contribute what you can.

Excellent idea! Please share details about adopting an animal at the zoo. This is something our playgroup (and others) might be interested in.

I don’t have informations on the “adopt an animal”. Anyone?

Good luck.
