Sure there is. For example, Robert Heinlein in Space Cadet (1948) and Between Planets (1951) used mobile phones.
OTOH, Isaac Asimov has people using advanced slide rules 10,000 years from now (anybody remember slide rules? Iāve seen modern movie reactors ask about those funny-looking things in āApollo 13ā).
That new causes of death/injury would develop:
People taking selfies in dangerous places and dying/getting injured.
Pedestrians walking down the street with their noses in their screens and colliding with things or getting mowed down by vehicles.
Drivers checking their cellphones while driving and getting in accidents.
And who knows, maybe someday we will discover that people that had their cellphones in their pockets all day and slept with them by their pillows may develop some cancer or something.

I do that but because it has fairly real time traffic and can re route me in case needed
I prefer they text me instead and I will respond by calling them back
Or we just end up texting each other
As an aside found out that ex spouses prefer to text with you than talk to you in the phone
