… well if you are let me know. Friends recommended possibly the most fantastci car salesman I have ever dealt with. His customer service is beyond that of every Australian car person - new and used - and his desire to go above and beyond what one expects is mad. Lovely guy, limited car related English but he is a great guy.
The amount of extras he threw is was unexpectedly amazing. An example. I wanted roof racks. When he discovered the Ford branded ones sucked ass he spent NT$6500 on Thule ones.
Please PM me if you are looking for a new Ford or Nissan.
It’s amazing, isn’t it? Car sales/service is the one field where Taiwan is head and shoulders superior to any other place I’ve lived. They weren’t so flexible on price, probably because the car was already marked down $70k for an end of year sale, but on extras he was just like: “Well, what do you want?” Mags, 10 CD Blaupunkt and 3M tinted windows were what I asked for and he didn’t even blink. Should have gone for the leather seats and sunroof, but that probably would have been pushing it.
I thought, after delivery, that would be the last I ever heard from the guy, but it wasn’t. He’d check-in with me every few months to find out if I needed my car serviced. He’d send one of his guys to my house or office to pick the car up, have it serviced and then deliver it back again. After about a year and half of this, I kind of felt too guilty to keep asking him to do it, and took care of it on my own. He definitely outdid any expectations I had and won over a loyal customer. Only problem is that he’s moved up from Volkswagens to Audis and I don’t see myself spending that much on a car anytime soon!
