But I have to say, that is bullshit.
In all vanity I have always resented genetics for making me not look anything at all like my mother. But when I read things like that i get very grateful for my light coloring.

One of the best doctors I’ve ever seen was in HK. Now, I’m willing to bet that because she studied abroad, she was more receptive to me.
Otherwise, I’m not surprised at what happened. But this is a cycle that will carry on until people “get it”. 
I believe racism is more accepted in Asia than Western countries.
Even when I first arrived in Singapore, which considers itself to be ‘advanced asia’, I was apalled at the racial ranking of people there. Human Resource departments continually post advertisements in the national rag that discriminate on race, age and gender.
The whole of asia seems to run on a racial heirarchy. (There’s some generalizing for you.)
Hell racism is alive and well in the good ol USA and Europe. People are just in denial that they’re racist, as in: Too many Morroccans causing trouble because they’re inherently violent. We should dump them all into the ocean -->>> coming from an Euro acquaintance of mine. I don’t think I need to go on about Americans.
