Those who have or do work at HESS

Hello guys, after extensive reserach, I have decided to go with HESS over Shane, as Shane cannot garuntee min hours per month. So, I am interested in HESS contract A or B either full time HLS or part-time Kindy and full-time HLS. Contract A is 20 - 24 hours in the evenings and sat offers NT48000, and contract B is 30 hours, morn and evenings and offers Nt73000. I do not have any debts to pay off back home etc, I would like to make enough money to live alone, NOT in a studio ha! And be able to enjoy myself and afford a trip home once in a while. I would like to study Mandarin but thats not my main main priority!

I am wanting to know, if on contract B you can have a life, or is it simply too much and not worth the extra money?! I have heard of teachers on contract A who have other p/t jobs to make up their salaries, but, to me that looks pointless if you can get the extra hours with HESS.

Well, it’s illegal for a foreigner to work in a kindy, so contract B does come with the added risk of potential deportation.

vallillo1983, in your posts over at eslcafe you claim that you have decided to work in Italy, Hong Kong, Japan and a number of other places in addition to Taiwan. Since you don’t know where you want to go yet, and you will not even graduate until next summer, it might not be necessary to ask such detailed questions. It is kind of annoying. Just read up on what others have to say, settle on a country, and then find the forums for that place.
