Three words, driving me nuts

Angry and hungry are two words that end in ‘-gry’. There are three words in the English language. What is the third word? Everyone knows what it means and everyone uses it every day.

This really annoyed me, and it didn’t get any better when I learned the answer. Your non-google thoughts are appreciated.

It’s a load of bollocks with several answers. I think one is “Language”, see ? complete rubbish.

I think that there are many more than three words in the English language.

That last sentence has about 14.

We assume that the second sentence is referring to the first one. However, it’s not. Therefore, the first word in “the English language” is “the”. Second word: “English”. And the third word: “language”.

Kind of like one from when I was little…“Railroad crossing, watch out for cars. Bet you can’t spell it without any r’s.”

Answer: I-T.
