Tips for searching for a job in Taipei for Filipinos married to Taiwanese Spouses (JFRV)

Hi @katkho, I suppose you would have to pass the medical boards here in Taiwan as well. And I would also assume those boards would be in Chinese (I think I read on Forumosa that the bar exam here is in Chinese). Do you want to practice medicine in Taiwan?

Or do you want to pursue another line of work here?

My husband plans to have his training in taiwan for 1 year next may. He plans to take me with him. I want to pursue another line of work. do you have any suggestions?

How can I practice medicine in Taiwan? I’ve already graduated medschool and passed the licensure examinations. I’ve read this article http://m.focustaiwan.tw/news/aipl/201811060019.aspx and it said that the oral and written exams will be in english. Do you have any idea where to start? When are the exams? How much do I have to pay?

I would start at the Examination Yuan website, review the required documentation for the exam for being a doctor, and call or email them for where to send it all.

I would also contact the TECO office in Manila to check if they have any special requirements - like notarizing any of the certifications and degrees. At least email or call them to ask who you should be in touch with there

This 3 year old article is about Taiwanese who go to medical school outside of Taiwan, so may not directly apply to you. But it mentions a list of recognized schools and 9 regions if the world that Taiwan would recognize medical degrees from. Please let us know if this helps you

Medical student in taiwan or in the philippines? Unless you speak chinese… You can get a job in taiwan

If you are still a filipino using a filipino passport

Its best to apply for a gold card to practise your profession as a doctor

Not on a jfrv.
