Tips on removing scooter oil from pet

White pet. Or used to be white pet. Now Maltese has turned into mini Dalmatian. Vinegar did not do the trick.

Google says mineral oil. Soak fur in it 3 days. :astonished: Has anyone tried this?

:no-no: I, for one, have never try anything involving oil and pet!

I no understand how you can ā€œdo the trickā€ with your pet!

Good luck both you.

Sorry my gramma is not English.

First, you should shave the affected area.
Second, try something with a mild vinegar-tomato juice may even work.
Third, watch the hair grow back and constantly remind the dog not to get to close to the muck again.

Sorry, nothing useful to add. All I want to say is:

BEST THREAD TITLE

EVER
![/b] :roflmao:

I know. I clicked on this thread just to say as much.

It is a captivating title.
Poor pet, though.
Not that it matters, but how does scooter oil come to be on a pet?
:ponder:

Shave and shampoo.

Muchas gracias for your kind words.

Ginger Man: It was late at night and Toto was doing his business, for which he desires privacy, so I did not notice the smear -my eyesight is quite poor, especially at night- until the next norning. A quick bath with vinegar did not solve the problem. My best guess is that somewhow he got under the scooter…

Jimi and Hans:

Urodacus: Poor Toto. He’s gonna look awful with a big gap in his fur.

Zender: apologies, I just typed quickly as I was leaving. me no native speaker, and yeah, my Englishee is gone to the dogs

You did a bad thing. Toto and you know what happened.

I forgive you.

One time, late at night, I also did an embarrassing thing.

Two bits.

Did I get that right?

Hey, what about tomato juice?

It works for skunk spray. :idunno:

Try to rub your pet with wheat flour. Flour has good oil absorbing power. Afterward wash your pet with soap. Maybe baby powder could do the trick, not sure…

Zender: hope no dog was involved. :roflmao:

Chief: somehow, I picture the result will be a pink Toto!

Franck: mmm, now that I might try. Thanks for the tip.

Shave more than just the stained area, so he doesn’t look quite so silly. Dogs KNOW when you’re laughing at them.

Or just dye him all black.

Try Coca-Cola.

I’d also consider putting an Edwardian collar on the pet
