To those of you who confuse jdsmith and gao_bo_han

Several people have commented that they get us confused. Yes, jdsmith and I both sport avatars of men famous in the 19th century. And yes, of course both men are long dead. And yes, both men have beards. But there is one difference that is so obvious that when I tell it to you, you will feel foolish for not seeing it before.

My avatar is much, much sexier.

Notice the sullen eyes of his Walt Whitman, the unkempt beard, the knotted brow. Now consider the dashing good looks of my Darwin. Notice the alluring eyes, the strong jaw, the sheer virility which his very being exudes.

I hope that clears it up for everyone. If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

Darwin wouldn’t do that… there’s no evolutionary pay off for such behavior.
Uncle Walt would… he was nuts. Which is one reason why he’s so much sexier.

I’ve been waiting forever for one of you to give in and change his avatar. Then this morning I thought YAY, one of them has finally reached maturity and decided to stop this silly stand-off!

I was the moon avatar for a while but people said it made me looney.

This is much better than when GBH reversed the image of Walt and had him facing to the left.

I think the title of this thread is a little misleading.

I clicked on it hoping to read comments from posters who manage to baffle two of forumosa’s finest minds – people who consistently cause JD and gbh to blink their eyes after reading a post and say “What on Earth is this guy talking about!?”

Now I find out that the thread is actually just about people who confuse jdsmith with gao_bo_han. :s

Oh well, at least we’ve heard from Jaboney. Anyone who’s paid attention to gao_bo_han’s last couple choices for his post signature will know that Jaboney confuses the hell out him on a regular basis. :uhhuh:
