I just watched Top Gun again last night on TV. As a very straight man, I admit he’s hot.

I saw the interview. I didn’t think much was wierd about it, even when he told the interviewer off. Sometimes celebreities need to ‘be’ that way, given how much the public has expectations for them as well as the beliefs the public has when they relate to them. I think maybe Cruise could just had the standard rules given to the interviewer before hand so that didn’t happen. Other interviews I’ve seen lately of the guy he seems like he has ADD and is off his meds 
As for his thing with Scientology, his zelousness seems to border on cult and the Scientologists should tell him to tone it down.

I was more hinting at the fact it’s ironic you say it looks cult-esque, being that it couldn’t be any more a cult. Even compared to most organized religions.

Oh dear God, I just watched Letterman from last week, like last Thursday I think it was, with Katie Holmes on it. Holy shit that was the most awkward interview EVER. She hemmed and hawed for like 30 seconds after being asked “So how did you two meet?” and then went off on some story about when she went scuba diving with him in Mexico. It was so damned funny!
I just download the Oprah interview…O-H M-Y GWAD!!! It was weird
But what made it weird wasn’t the fact that he was bounching off the walls like a kid that needs Ritalin, but how he interacted with Katie. When he brings her out on stage, you’ll see him pushing her, while holding her arms behind her. Then another moment of them kissing-she tries to give him something ‘extra’ 
and you could see him,controlling the moment…I just found the whole thing contrite because why I am suppose to believe that you’ve found love 2 months before the biggest financial quater for Hollywood, oh pulezzzz
