Top Ten Led Zeppelin Songs

Currently my favorite Zeppelin song is “Going to California”…watch out…awesome!

Alien likes an AMERICAN rock and roll band? :astonished: :astonished: :astonished: Another prejudiced supposition dashed? :noway: I’m going to have to rethink my whole opinion of him/her/it. :fume: Dang it anyway! :raspberry: Next thing you know I’ll find out she/him/it is really a redneck instead of a Euro-liberal. :s What is the world of expats in Taiwan coming to? :help:

Where did you get that from?

After reading this article I feel I should hate Led Zep (or at least Page)

:help:

I was suppose to see LZ in 1980 but Bonham went and killed himself 4 weeks before the concert!!
:fume:

The rest of the list could change for me, but the top three are definites.

  1. Kashmir (by far)
  2. Black Dog
  3. D’yer Maker
  4. The Immigrant Song (if just for the infamous driving guitar line)
  5. Misty Mountain Hop

  7. Ramble on
  8. No Quarter

You’re the only one to pick up on this (or the only one who bothered to answer). OR maybe nobody else knew :astonished:

While in Hong Kong the other week, I picked up the new 2-DVD live Led Zep set. Awesome stuff. I’m so cranked up on pure Zep goodness that I could definitely rank “Moby Dick” as one of the 10 greatest songs of all time.

is there a bad Zepplin song?

Going to California, at the moment my personal fav.

Chou

i like Tangerine.

erm…everything…

No Quater, Ramble on, Since I’ve been loving you…

and of course…The battle of evermore(with the magical Sandy Denny on vocals!)

I like The Beatles AND the Zep. :sunglasses:

My favorite Zep songs:

Immigrant Song :bravo: :bravo: :bravo: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Moby Dick

Jethro Tull

I’ve been messing around a bit, and this is a pretty good playlist i think

what is and what should never be – that’s gotta be right
since I’ve been loving you
tangerine
babe i’m gonna leave you
bron-y-aur stomp
ramble on
no quarter
friends
four sticks
the crunge
the rover
night flight
the song remains the same
misty mountain hop
ten years gone
nobody’s fault but mine
in the light
the ocean
out on the tiles
in my time of dying
the battle of evermore
when the levee breaks
hey hey what can I do
black country woman
immigrant song
dazed and confused
bring it on home
whole lotta love
how many more times - no doubt

I’m not the world’s greatest Led Zep fan, but this one SERIOUSLY blows my battery:

Count me among the Led Zeppelin > Beatles contingent. It’s not even close actually.

My favs include:

Stairway To Heaven (and the Song Remains the Same live version)
When The Levee Breaks
No Quarter
Dazed And Confused
Kashmir
Down By The Seaside
Immigrant Song

and on…

Couldn’t pick my 10 favourite songs but the riff to heartbreaker is possibly the best guitar riff of all time.

Not the most complicated sure, but the best.

I think the best one is “Stairway to Heaven”, followed very closely by “Kashmir”, and then “Dazed and Confused” and “Baby I’m Gonna Leave You”… the rest are all quite good, if you ask me.

When i was 13 i walked into a music store determined to buy a few tapes, but didn’t know anything about music or who was who except that i liked rock. I decided to try a led zep album but had no idea about any of their music and there was lots to choose from. I also heard of AC/DC and wanted to try one of theirs too, but again, lots to choose from. I ended up walking out with led zeppelin IV and back in black. I had no idea how fortunate i was at the time.

A 7.5 year old grave dig! Nice one!

And yes, the Immigrant song. God pick Jimi. You beat me to it.
Mind you, I had 7.5 years of chances and missed it.
