I have a couple weeks holiday coming and I have been thinking about a train trip North out of Macau. Has anybody done this. I don’t much care about schedules and tour bus hassles. I just want to ride the train and get off to do a self-tour whenever I feel the urge. I have searched online for the train schedules but they are difficult to understand and a Taiwan friend suggested that I shouldn’t put much faith in them anyway. If you have done this, please let me know some of the problems I may encounter. Thanks in advance.
I’m going to travel Southeast China this August, and I came across this site. Some of it is a little dated, but it can still give you some ideas of destinations and traveling times. I like the way each place is rated by travelers who have been their, with different categories for scenery, food, culture, etc.
