I would only love an Impreza if I had the road for it. Its the same reason why I don’t put good red wine in my cornflakes.

Isofix ancorage points.
Top performing five star NCAP rated product.
Rear hatch
Top performing in reliability studies.
I like the look of it.
Interior size
It whispers around in traffic.
Besides, it has more interior space than an Impreza. Space was originally the reason we moved up a size in the first place. The main reason we originally got a car was that taxis are dangerous, buses are mad and filthy and walking with a sleepy kid to school is a drag.
Besides its not like all my driving is short school runs. Its just that short trips tend to kill turbo fitted cars. I use my car for work as well and its always being stop started all around town. That just happens to best fit a Prius as I don’t need to keep turning off the ignition all the time when I’m stopping.
I don’t recommend most people getting cars which they really want to only make the best of the least of the time. One is usually happiest with a car which fulfils their needs the vast majority of the time. You can always go and rent a car for the odd occasion that you need a different type for a specific need. I also don’t absolutely need to make the time to go and drive an Impreza. I had a few good years driving them around in the U.K. on fantastic Roman roads in amongst the beautiful countryside. I don’t hope to beat that in Taiwan. Yes, I know Taiwan has beautiful countryside too. It also has death lurking around every other corner. I can’t see far enough, or predict far enough ahead here to appreciate a fast car. I drive nowadays to protect my family. I would save the tomfoolery for a racetrack. I get enough thrills going through traffic on a 125 Wolf at normal speeds. :aiyo:

For fuel efficiency I would presume that meant saving money, and if so then I would go for a Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, Mazda 2, Suzuki Swift, or any other smaller car, save on half the price of a Prius and then have 600,000 spare on the transaction to go and buy a couple of litres of fuel with the spare cash. Fuel efficiency never really stuck with the Prius. Its a silly reason to buy one. As far as saving the environment, I don’t buy the CO2 and cars argument anyway, so I don’t care about that, besides the least effective way to save the environment is to go any start shipping imported cars around. If I truly wanted to save on resources and CO2 emissions I would purchase an older, locally produced vehicle and refurbish it. My priorities were neither of those at the time of purchase. I do however remain sensitive to completely wasting money, resources and fuel for no reason and so I take very good care of my car with the intention of it staying on the road for a long time to come. I also still can’t get rid of my twitch whenever I see something like a Previa which only ever has one or two people in it or an SUV.

I still say good luck with that one. from the size I imagine that compressor to be from some of the pictures online, I don’t think it will easily fit in that space you describe. And then you have the manifold to contend with.

same reasons applied for the WRX… …IIRC, most made in Taiwan cars don’t have ISOFIX points built into them. Pretty dumb (and a good example of how much they value in car safety for children) to leave those out, especially since it’s been a standard for all cars on the US market since 2002…and just as long in EU.
