Transferring large amount of USD from TW to the US

Are there any issues with transfering more than $10,000 from a TW bank to a US bank account? Both accounts are mine.

I would love to hear from anyone who has done this or who does it on a regular basis.

I do not do it regularly, but I have done wire transfers of ntd to usd (wouldn’t think the currency matters since it gets converted to the currency of the receiving account anyway) of more than 10K several times. Never had an issue.

Your bank will likely report it to the IRS, so don’t stiff on your US taxes.
