Translation: "Thank you for the update"

I’m a Chinese learner in the US who handles email correspondence. In the US, it’s common to respond to a message and say

thank you for the update or thank you for letting me know.

I’m not sure about the best way to say this in Chinese. Do I just say 謝謝你告訴我 or 謝謝你讓我知道這件事。 Does that sound weird? Do people actually say that in Chinese?

I would say: 感謝告知 or 感謝您的通知。
