I do not read Chinese. How do I convert a website in Chinese (that does not apparently have an English version) into English so I can understand what it says? Any suggestions? I heard there is an online translator, but I can’t find it.

If you use google Chrome a little thing will pop up at the top asking if you want it translated. Can be handy (or incomprehensible), but doesn’t work when things are in flash or other fancy things (which Taiwanese websites really seem to like).
You can also use firefox and the pera-kun add-on, which does a mouse over translation
I really love Google’s auto-translate feature in Google Chrome. It’s not perfect, but if you’re willing to chuckle a little, you can usually grok the meaning of a page pretty easily. It’s awesome for places that have their menus posted! Some of the colorful item-names won’t make sense, but if they describe the dish or list the ingredients, you will have a good clue of what it contains.

Chrome also has a mouse over translation add on (called Zhongwen), that works like pera-kun.
