Hi, I am travelling to Taiwan in 2 weeks with my family - 2 kids. I am going to stay at Luzhou … what are the good ways to commute from Airport to Luzhou. I am unable to find taxi fares online ? any other service like bus or train ?
A taxi should run you about $1000 NT. Buses are listed here: taoyuan-airport.com/english/buses but I didn’t see any Luzhou service. It would probably mean heading to Minchuan W Rd and taking a taxi from there.
If you’re traveling with family, a taxi may be the easiest option. It’ll cost around NT$1000 (US$30ish), but you’d end up paying around NT$600+ anyway for a family of four to bus it. There is no direct bus route to Luzhou; you’d have to come to Taipei City first, and then transfer to another bus, MRT, or taxi, meaning the whole process will probably take well over an hour. A taxi ride could be as quick as 25 minutes.
I can recommend a mini van service, as with 4 people a normal taxi could be tight.
Just one thing to remember, Luzhou is not how all of Taiwan looks like, it is one of the most crowded neighborhoods of Taipei. Make sure to travel around a bit to get the whole picture.
