Carter played an outstanding game despite the fact he missed some easy kicks.
How about this: “Well after the Australian players had returned to their dressing room, All Blacks captain Richie McCaw showed he had so much energy left that he remained out on the field and played a game of touch football with his team’s reserves”
Great game… we really pushed the Aussies around in the forwards and as such their backs never could get onto the front foot…
Whereas before Larkham could run at our #10’s we now have Carter, the tackling machine… Apparently Larkham was standing so deep in the pocket that the aussies could never make the gain line. That really showed in a few instances where they had continuous phases of play but just kept going backwards.
Saw on a few boards people complaining about refereeing decisions but I must say that the better team definitely got the result. Kaplan is without a doubt the best ref in the world right now and he is usually spot on. By the letter of the law Elsom should have gone to the bin as he had been warned… so harsh, yes, but wrong… probably not. The AB’s were doing it too (slowing down aussie ball) but just did a much smarter and more more effective job of it; much easier to do when you’ve got their team going backwards while on attack.
Mils was a real plus at centre. We all knew he could play there from the S14, but I was really impressed with how he did.
Would love to hear from some Saffas about how they think their team will do this weekend. Honestly, if their forwards can get on the front foot then they will win. However, without Schalk they will be a bit slower than the AB pack so the faster aussies may get a bit of an edge there. Set piece may be a porblem (esp. at scrum time) but I hear Rodzilla is on his way back in; so who knows…
Cheers!

Good work on that piss! Made the ICRT news! Gavin ‘I cant believe I work here’ Phipps mentioned it!
49-0. Well done, Wobblies.
A very sad day for SA rugby.
The Springboks now need to pick themselves up for the Battle of the Caketin next Saturday. A seemingly impossible task. I’m not writing them off yet, though.
A convincing win to the ABs in the end. The Boks showed more fighting spirit than last week against the Wobblies, but they seem to have forgotten how to win. This could be the start of a long, painful decline for a once-proud rugby nation, I suspect.
Despite the AB’s missing quite a few of their front line players it was an admirable response from the boks after last weeks melt down, 2 tries each, game decided in the last 10mins. Doesn’t look like theyre that far off the pace. The boks have a history of being woeful one min. and winning the next since they rejoined the international stage. Not to mention how difficult they are to beat at home. White has said a few choice things this last week, but he is right, they are still in the hunt. The Wobblies, this weekend is shaping up to be the most important of the year, for the ABs the Bledisloe Cup on the line, Aussies fresh from a lay off after belting the boks with their so called powder puff forwards. Its going to be big - I’m looking to Collins to come back and show Henry what he thought of being laid off this last weekend.
I think you will see a much tighter contest. The AB’s are not a dead certain winner for the next game. Hope for the Wallabies to win it and take a bonus point too…

HEY!
If you live in Banchiao or Tuchen come over to BRAVO Banchiao to watch the next game and meet other foreign locals who regularly gather at BRAVO on Saturday afternoons for the rugby. Join the crowd without having to cross the bridge! :bravo:

Resolute defence wins it for the All Blacks. The Bledisloe Cup is retained. The Tri-Nations is next.
Congratulations to the Springboks for beating the All Blacks and ending their 15 game winning streak. Matfield and co made our lineout look very shabby, and there was some fucking dumb play by the ABs. We ain’t gonna win no RWC playing like that.
Credit where it’s due: Well done, jarpies.
Best thing for the All Blacks to lose a game this tri nations, maybe a few more loses would help even more. To read the NZ Herald over this series one would think we’d already won the World Cup.
Yep, it’s always Four More Years at every semi finals level for the AB’s. They are bound to peak early and crash out again next year as well.
And then? England again?
Only if you want to put money on the hapless poms T.C.
