I think that DOGE is likely to help identify rogue Federal employees (those who act in ways that should be left to elected politicians, or in ways that sabotage/limit/slow-walk the new administration) who are candidates for this. It happens.
I don’t like the idea of non-discriminatory tit-for-tat, but - based on events on Trump’s first term - I’m all for making employed life difficult for federal employees who see themselves as embedded partisans or guardians of Democrat legacies.
