"Turkmenbashi" Croaks

“Turkmenbashi” - President for life Niyazov, of gas rich Turkmenistan sadly died last yesterday. He brought stability and a sense of reassurance and national identity to the Turkmen people. Very sad.

In case the American military want to know, Turkmenistan is just above and to the right of Eye-ran.

BroonAshkabad

Don’t trick them with that funky spelling, Broon, they’ll get lost for sure. Remember what happened when they attached the crazy Forumosan pinyiniser to that war head heading to Serbia?

That should be I Ran Once, or Iran for sure, which is next to IWrackmybrainsandstillcan’tfindawayoutofthisshitpit. or Iwrack for short.

HG

You must be referring to Wha-Tahel-Wazi-Tinkin or OKraph-Dissizbad

But please…we’ll soon be headed for Ikantstan-Disnomore

Do they have Tally-Ban there?

I think you mean the anti-digital media terrorists, the Telly-ban?

Stack 'em naked on dogs for that!

Terrible thing to do to a dog. Be careful, you’ll have the dog squad all over you soon enough.

By the why, the Tally Hos are alright, especially if you got something to roll in 'em.

One more dead dictator. Again, I shed no tears.

But he opened the markets, encouraged the movement of capital, even if it was just out of the country and into his Deutsche Bank account. A few dead here and there. . . c’mon. he was on our side!

What would you have preferred, godless communists? We all know what’s lurking down that particualur road. Are you a communist by any chance? Is that not Castor man juice on your chin?

HG

Shh, don’t say that. Fred might hear you. Then we’ll have 10 pages of debate about how some dictators are good.

Thank you, Santa!

There’s a Shi’i tradition to the effect that the Qa’im (or Mahdi) will come with black flags appear in Khorasan. Now black flags are used in mourning. And Khorasan is modern Turkmenistan!

Hey, Ashkabad ain’t called “the City of Love” for nothin’!

Interesting - but leaves out the main question - what next for Turkmenistan? There are a lot of possibilites, and it’ll be interesting to see how it all shakes out.
