We are very excited to offer two afternoons per week of Chinese-immersion kindergarten-style playtime, for children who are toilet-trained and two years old or above.
The motivation behind this is:
-From our own experiences (with children going to local schools), children going into public schools or other Chinese-language local environments really benefit from low-pressure, regular sessions in Chinese with an adult who also knows about the local environment.
-Most local kindergartens don’t cater for parents who are looking for a one-or-two-day a week type setup, and also insist on taking a semester-long deposit even if you are not going to be there full-time. We wanted to offer something more flexible.
Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays 3-5:30pm.
Cost: The price has been finalized at 6500nt per four weeks (20 hours of classes) and incudes a healthy snack. There is no per semester “registration fee” that you will find at other private kindergartens. Payment is preferred by 12 weeks semester but if you are unable to please contact Angie (owner of Parents’ Place) privately to make other arrangements.
We are very lucky to get a licensed, certified kindergarten teacher with 25 years’ experience. Alice speaks English, and has worked with people from different cultures during her time at English-language kindergarten, where she was also responsible for teaching the Chinese sessions to little ones. She is extra-talented in art and craft.
The classes will follow themes and have lots of art, music, and stories for the children to enjoy while being in a Chinese immersion environment.
