I recently heard two interesting stories regarding traffic matters from my Taiwanese friends. Both involve situations with a car.
The first regards how to negotiate with the Taiwan authorities to have the fine for “speeding” on the highway significantly reduced.
The second regards how to talk to the “tow truck people” to convince them not to tow away your car and fine you.
My Taiwanese friends claim they have used these techniques very successfully over the past few years to save a lot of money on fines.
However, in order to write these stories out in English, in an accurate and comprehensible manner, I would first need some background etc. information on the following topics. If posters to this thread can provide the answers, I will then write out the two stories. I sincerely believe that all visitors to the “Cars & Motorcycles” Forum will benefit.

4) What are the different kinds of licenses for driving a “truck”? Are they differentiated by the size of the truck, size of engine (# of cc’s), or what? How many kinds are there? Two? Three? Five? How are they classified?

What is the basic truck license called?, and how do we describe it? (number of cc’s, or “common nomenclature” for this type of license, or what?) This is for, I believe, something which in English we might call “small delivery truck.”
