Typhoons 2021

no one says that only typhoons cause earthquakes.

if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. no one’s forcing you to live near Hualien!

I grew up in Wellington. I’ve had more earthquakes than you’ve had hot diners.

Love me a hot diner!

i can’t enjoy a meal without air conditioning

mmm something like that. I can’t find it in Science, maybe it was submitted but not accepted there.

I got paid either way…

You’re right, it rained.

Bad place to collect Hummel figurines.

I think this is the question of the hour now since WFH culture is rapidly normalizing here thanks to COVID… My friends are wondering the same, what an awkward situation :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Is there a good place?

rubber rooms?

Personally, I like to see those hummels HOP. Imagine capturing hummels in an earthquake using slow-motion video capture. That is high art imo

As per Apple Daily…yes!

The issue is danger when you are commuting during a typhoon. No commute, no danger, WORK!!!

What about the day after the typhoon? Is it usually safe to go back to work?

Difficult to say. We’ve had typhoon days off that were actually fairly nice, and then the following day - back to work - was awful.

It is a gamble. Walking through puddles or knee high water. You never know…

What if there was a puddle between my living room and my home office? Would that work?

Let us know what the boss has to say.
