There have been some great fights so far.
The big one Tito and Chuck is about to start… this should be a ripper

And…?
There is only one winner ![]()
But there were several good bouts today. The first two finished in the first round with knockouts… the third bout was a 2nd round choke hold and put the opponent out before the ref spotted it.
Tito & Liddel both fighters were wary of each other.
But it ended in the third round with one getting pounded on.
That was a great fight. But since when do you stop a fight because one guy’s arm is getting beaten on??
all right…all right…who won? Tito or Liddell?
Yeah I thought the protection those arms did was fine. I’ve seen that guy squirm outta lot worse spots.
All in all gracious in defeat… ![]()
Who won…???
The ICEMAN Chuck Liddel
I don’t feel the UFC is protecting the fighters nowadays as much as they are protecting their resources. Tito will be a huge draw, and well Liddel, he’s da Man.
I’m a big Tito fan, so tell me Sat TV, did Chuck actually DO anything in the 2cd and 3rd rounds, except win?
Rope a dope in the center of the ring.

Chuck actually lost the 2nd round due to Tito taking him down.
It was in the third round Tito made a mistake and got belted.

UFC 66 REVIEW: ICE AGE CONTINUES AS LIDDELL BEATS ORTIZ
Good review of the fight.
Chuck kicked his but from start to finish. :bravo: :bravo:
He lost the second round by the judges or Eddie bravo?didn’t catch the after fight footage.I don’t agree with giving someone a round win because of a take down that doesn’t get the guy any advantage.

Well if you had been watching the whole fight live like I did it wasnt just a take town Tito struck Lidell more often than he got his with some good kicks and strikes. The takedown counts in this sport wether you like it or not.

I’m gonna waych it again today, because well, I can, and keep an eye out for offensive moves. I recall Tito being on the offensive the whole fight pretty much, and Chuck sitting back, although the announcers were saying that was his “style.”
Whatever it was, it sure worked. Liddel is a great fighter and rock solid.

Well I re watched round 2 and counted connecting punches and kicks ,Chuck came out on top. Chucks elbow standing up from the takedown pretty much took him the round IMO. Tito was making alot of swings and misses is all.
The UFC site pre-game interview with these guys was a good indicator of how the match was gonna go. (I linked to it above.)
Titi wanted his ground game - Liddell is a stand-up striker with deadly elbows.
I think the fact that Liddell didn’t get taken to the mat combined with his powerful strikes and elbows was the decider for the fight.
I’m a long time Ortiz fan and supporter - but Liddell was the victor.
I don’t think this match-up is over.
