UK to offer exchange of Taiwan driving licences

I wonder why the UK doesn’t do it with the US if the UK driving board thinks Taiwan’s test meets the standard they have. It’s really strange. You actually test on the road in the US and not an unrealistic obstacle course.

What rubbish.

By most measures. the UK is one of the safest countries in the world on the roads, with around 2.9 deaths per 100,000 population. Taiwan is over 2.5 times this at 7.8.
(Out of interest, Australia is 5.6 deaths per 100,000 population).

US is 12.4

New Zealand’s is the same as Taiwan.
