that’s bizzarre, got asked to pay immediately on the spot when I applied in Taipei last week.
moral of the story for everyone… apply at taipei office and save time
You can only apply at the office covering the area of your address on the ARC.
Is there an overview somewhere about what exactly the status means and which status values there are in which order…?
I’m also waiting for a certificate from NIA - today, the status went from “製證中” (Certificate Issuance ?) to “已核准(待領證)” (Approved (Pending Certificate Issuance) ?).
Judging from others in this thread, that seems to be the normal process - but I am still wondering what exactly each status means…
Is there a special status when the card is ready for collection? Or does “已核准(待領證)” mean that they should be calling soon…?
You should get an email when it’s ready for pickup if you put that on the application, I think with the subject “內政部移民署居留證領證通知”. Sometimes they send a letter also.
As I recall 已核准(待領證) is the step it stays at until it’s picked up then it changes to closed.
I got an email notification about 5 days after the status change (from 製證中 to 已核准(待領證)… but my APRC was available for pickup before I received the email.
For reference: Today (2 working days after the status changed to “已核准(待領證)”), I received an email that the certificate is ready for pickup.
Just like @irish91 said: Subject line is “內政部移民署居留證領證通知” and sender was niasys@immigration.gov.tw. No phone call (even though the employees at the NIA branch kept telling me they will call me

I received a letter for mine. I guess because I am spouseless and they really don’t wanna talk to me.

That’s actually possible before picking up the physical card. Got the money from an ATM yesterday.
Once the card is issued, they seem to be pretty fast in updating the relevant systems

My status currently says “審核中”. As per the discussion i understand its about a period of 30 days until card collection.
During this time, i may have to travel outside taiwan. I currently hold Gold card. Will there be any difficulty in immigration during my return back to taiwan? Will my gold card still be working if my APRC turns it status to approved during stay out of taiwan. Because i may be using my Gold card to return back to taiwan.
Did anyone apply in 2026?

They told me it may take 1-2 months.
Until today the tracking website says ‘製證中’
Its been more than 2 months. Starting to worry a little bit. If this is normal case or just for me ??
I tried calling the NIA Taipei but its always either busy or they just dont respond.
Is there a way i can give a call to NIA and enquire about my case?
