My colleague has just applied for a work permit/ARC with her UNISA (University of SA) degree and was told that the Taiwan Dept. of Education does not recognise degrees from this institution. She was not a full-time (day) student, I think she completed it as a ‘distance degree’.
Have you ever heard of this “rule” from the Taiwan authorities, and if so, what would be the logic behind it? UNISA is the biggest university in SA and is recognised everywhere but in Taiwan!
As far as I know Unisa is not recognized in Taiwan, because Unisa is a distance learning institution. I know another Saffie who came all the way to Taiwan with her Unisa degree, just to pack her bags again and go back.
