URGENT! Kitten Found Near Work (I have until tomorrow to find it a home)

How long can you keep him? I may be interested but I’m going away on vacation until Dec 2.

That’s ok-if you see him first and do want him then I’d be really happy to help.

EDIT: I think you’d be excellent for him. He is affectionate and growing strong but still small. He loves just hanging around when I’m working. He loves the fish on a stick and attacks it with deadly intent-I do that 3-4 times a day to ensure he keeps active. He’d probably even like going on walks in the hills…

BTW, I just wanted to say thanks to Icon for her help.

Also, ex-Animo, I’ve sent you two unanswered PMs. Please reply to the current one. I’m looking to help this little kitten have a nice home asap. Cheers.

For the record this isn’t very accurate. True 動物之家 / Animal shelters here in Taiwan are generally infected with apathy and corruption. However at the same time all vets aren’t perfect angels as well. After all each shelter is run by a head vet, who in turn are in charge of euthanasia if that is the case.

I would advise future adoption cases to do their research well. Banqiao for example has a horrible record however the 五股動物之家 hasn’t euthanized any kittens and most recently dogs since my girlfriend started working there this summer. Every cat they’ve received has been given up for adoption if possible, yes some of died in there care because the circumstances and funding the receive are quite pitiful. Likewise the employees she works with are hit or miss. Nevertheless its better for animal society in general if street cats are adopted by those seeking pets, rather than them being spaded and returned to the streets while pet-seekers buy and carelessly breed pets from pet-stores supporting this sort of animal trade.

EDIT: forgot to comment on the 3 days at a shelter comment? What shelter is this? If I’m remembering correctly the directives specify 30/90 days depending on the situation/animal.

a person called Streleven here on Forumosa just posted he was looking for a cat… look for his post… good luck
