Hey all, is anyone familiar with the codes for US $100 bills typically not accepted at banks? I know there are several, but all I can remember are CB. Thanks
I think the AIT should look into this. US bills should be accepted as long as they are legitimate. The US govt needs to back its currency. This non acceptance of some US bills is not right.
I had this experience. I accepted certain 100 usd bills from a South African (they came from SA) and for a while I thought they were fake. It turned out certain banks wouldn’t accept that specific serial number.
I had to go to another bank. If your bank doesn’t accept them, they should at least tell you where to go. I don’t remember having a problem at my favorite underground money changer in Ximen Ding.
They dont accept a certain batch of $100 bills, i had this problem a while back.
I wanted to trade $500 but they wouldnt take 2 of my $100 bills as it contained a serial number.

Of course the whole serial numbers weren’t the same, but they all shared a certain pattern at the beginning of each serial number that weren’t acceptable by the bank. And I know you were kidding…
Does anyone have any official info on this? Newspapers or gov. statements?
