Most industrially-raised meat is filthy. It’s actually surprising there aren’t more cases of food poisoning.
I’m pretty sure Taiwan’s food safety standards are about the same as anywhere else on the planet (including the US), ie., pisspoor.

I just want the local farmers protected. Many pay my salary because we teach their kids.
I like the fact that most of our food, vegetables and meat are grown within 30 miles and brought to the day markets straight from the farmers.
