US Presidential candidate threatens to bomb Mecca and Medina

It seems Mr. Tancredo is suggesting to bomb Mecca and Medina to deter terrorist against the USA:

Last week, Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) reiterated his call for bombing Muslim holy sites as a “deterrent” against terrorist strikes on the U.S. homeland. “If it is up to me, we are going to explain that an attack on this homeland of that nature would be followed by an attack on the holy sites in Mecca and Medina,” he said in Iowa.

Nothing would unite the Muslim world against us faster than bombing Mecca and Medina. Tancredo is one of the few American Congressman to openly discuss the issue of jihadi infiltration in American mosques and prisons, and I respect him for that, but this idea is sheer lunacy.

Well yes. It is after all a separate ‘state’ and it changes the meaning entirely. Yes he should have added it. Just a weeny tactical strike or some kind of bio-weapon that would leave the buildings intact. One could then give the looted gold back to the poor the Papists nicked it from.
