Use Taiwan passport or Aussie passport?

Hi guys, I’m planning to arrive in Taiwan on the 29th June. Have a couple of questions which hopefully someone can answer:

  1. I have dual citizenship with both Taiwan and Australia. Should I enter using my Taiwan passport or the Australian one? Reason I ask is I am scared if I used the Taiwan passport I’ll be drafted off to the army? But I’m assuming that with this passport I wont need to apply for work permit or ARC or visa etc?

  2. If I arrive on the 29th June but dont find work till say… July 10th, what would be the tax rate then? I mean does the 183days for 6% tax rule apply when you start working or when you arrive in the country?

If anyone can shed any light on this it would be most appreciated.

PS. I’ll probably be in the Chun-Ho area. If anyone has any work leads please let me know. Or even if anyone just wants to meet up for a drink etc. :help:
