Using IRC with Hinet

Does anyboy else have problems (or no problems) doing a DCC send/chat with IRC using hinet?

I’m trying to figure out what might be the cause of my IRC pains. My only guess now is Hinet is blocking it, but if someone else can do it, I must be doing something wrong.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, maybe you have a firewall, or maybe the other person has a firewall. The main problem I get with IRC is getting on at all because most servers ban Hinet because of all the viruses and spam that Hinet spreads on it.

For anyone that cares it wasn’t Hinet after all. I have PC-cillin 2002 and it had a built in fire wall that was hidden in it’s setup (plus it was in Chinese, so I never really noticed it). After I turned it off everything worked fine.
