Do any Taiwan banks offer ATM/Debit cards that can be used in the USA? I was told that this would not work. It seems to work fine the other way around (US cards used in Taiwan).
Just returned from the US and my card would not work there. Not a nice surprise.
If your TW ATM card has the “Plus” or “Cirrus” sign on the back, you should be able to use it at any ATM in the world linked to “Plus” or “Cirrus” system. I have used mine in Europe, Singapore, and Thailand with no problems.
If your account is with the post office, then I’ve heard that this is not possible.
