Can anyone recommend a van service to the airport? No English necessary. It just has to be able to fit two adults, one toddler and five immigrant-size suitcases.
There are a number of taxis that are oversized and could be called vans and suit your purposes. You might call any of the cab companies and ask. Alternatively, you can always find these oversized cabs waiting outside the Hyatt, particularly in the early morning hours.
I appreciate the thought, but we’re way past out-size taxis (I know the kind you’re referring to). We’re actually moving back to the US with a toddler and all our worldly goods in five maximum size suitcases. Which also makes trying our luck in front of the Hyatt a little tough.
Well, if all else fails, have two taxis haul you to a FeiGou (or similar line) bus stop. An airport bus oughta be able to fit five big suitcases.

Size of vehicles is also a concern for me because my father is 6’8" (203 cm), and he and my mother tend to pack more than really need. I have just used Yǒngjié (永捷), which has been fine so far. [Note: not so fine in the long run. See post below.]

NT$100 service charge (This is if you need your luggage carried up to or down from your apartment. And since I live in a fourth-floor walk-up, I’m more than happy to pay this.)
Those prices were to my place in Banqiao. Taipei costs might be different; but I doubt it.

The van that was supposed to be here at 7 this morning wasn’t. About 7:10 my wife called the guy to find out what was going on. He apparently forgot, despite having been reminded two days before. :bluemad:
We ended up stuffing ourselves and the luggage into a taxi.
Ouch, we’re already safely ensconced in the American Midwest, but good to know for the future.
