I wandered around Jason’s and Welcome looking for vanilla extract. I couldn’t find it so instead of asking a real person I am asking my fellow forumosans. If you did see it can you gave me directions (i.e., where to find it in the store). Jason’s is packed with stuff, but I always have a hard time finding what I want.

You can buy it at the Mami Store in a lane just off of Shi-Da Road. It’s two or three lanes south of the lane that Grandma Nitti’s is on. I know they have it because we bought some there a couple of months ago.
They have all kinds of baking stuff in City Super beneath the Far Eastern Mall on Dunhua South Road. They have both vanilla essence and real actual dried vanilla pods.
Throw a pod into a jar of sugar and in a week or two you’ll have vanilla-flavoured sugar. Useful stuff.

At Jasons not far from the milk section with with other cake stuff - sometimes it is out of stock, yeast too!
I believe I saw it last week at Wellman’s, the little grocery store in Tienmu next to the brand spanking new Subber (read: old remodeled Subway).
