Venus, Jupiter & Moon were smiling on Monday

We got an excellent view of it just an hour or so ago. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find my big binoculars to try to see the moons. It was huge, though. Gorgeous!

Interesting alignment tonight, Venus and Jupiter were very clear.

This guy is all over it:

There’s a cool fingernail moon with two planets hanging below it. Not sure, but I think they are Venus and Mars.

Jupiter and Venus. But unfortunately, only clouds currently visible in the Danshui skies.

Taipei cloudy.

Hey, I saw that* and figured one was a satellite. Had no idea it was two planets or I would’ve checked it out closer.

My brother took some cool videos. Of course, he’s in a warmer climate.

Lower one was Venus, higher one was Jupiter. At the same time if you directly up you would have seen Mars.

Saw this on someones FB, was taken in ShiLin around 18:30 today.

Have any of you, while speaking to any of your relatives or friends in far off places, both looked at the moon at the same time?

It sounds pretty improbable?

Depends on how far

If it is winter in the UK, you can see the moon from around 4:30 pm. Taiwan, is 8 hours ahead - 12:30 am. The moon would be somewhere in the sky.

It’s very likely one will be on the wrong side of Earth at the time to see it though, right?

Not Chinese spy balloons then ?

No idea. I never got round to trying it.
