Been seeing some political ads in sports telecasts. They’re unbelievable. I saw a week or two ago Walker and Warnock had already spent 70 million each. That’s a lot of democracy.
Speaking of…JD Vance says the GOP needs to rake in more money a la the Dems.
I heard today over 7 billion was spent on the whole cycle. Easy to see what a big difference it made, eh?

Vance is keeping busy.
Lawmakers are asking how examiners at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, which was in charge of supervising SVB, failed to spot signs of trouble that later sparked a run by its depositors. They note that the issues were readily visible on SVB’s public financial statements, and drew attention from short-sellers months before. Making the optics worse: SVB’s CEO sat on the San Francisco Fed’s board until Friday.
“The San Francisco Fed had all the tools necessary to prevent the collapse from happening,” Tennessee Republican Sen. Bill Hagerty tweeted Tuesday. “From an oversight standpoint, we need to understand why the SF Fed wasn’t utilizing all these tools at its disposal.”
Hagerty was one of several GOP members of the Senate Banking Committee who criticized the regulator on Tuesday. A spokesman for North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis told Semafor “it appears the San Francisco Fed was asleep at the helm.” Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance told Fox: “I don’t know why they didn’t see this coming … this is their job, to see impending bank failures within their portfolio.”

Vance commands mastery of policy details, yet delivers that knowledge with clarity and likeability. As for the current vice president? Well, let’s just say she will not enjoy trying to match Vance’s intellect or authenticity.
He grows pubic hair on his face. It’s a sign of lack of male confidence.
Maybe Trump has softened with age, but I can’t imagine Vance’s appearance, youth, eloquence, and intelligence is not rubbing him the wrong way. JD better not getting ahead of himself, otherwise they’ll have quite some turmoil in the campaign and possibly later on in the WH.
I doubt he will. Anyway as VP he won’t be in the media as much. Biden kept Kamala Harris away from WH briefings. Trump will include JD Vance in his. Trump could say he’s old and even retire before his last year in office and hand over the presidency to JD… Democrats would go nuts lol

Considering the many wars that have been led by Nato, would take that with generous helpings of salt. Doubt Trump could change that trajectory much.

He might have the endorsement, but I am sure there is more to US political dynamics than the approval of another country’s foreign minister
Europe let their own military capability atrophy and suck of the tit of the USA expecting the USA to rush in and save them when there is any incident.
About time Europe got off it’s arse and did it’s fair share.
If you think EU should take more responsibility then you should be a Biden supporter. After all, he did more to get EU to take ownership of their own security than Trump ever did. Allies have increased their contributions to NATO. Germany has made historic investments in their military. New members have joined. And so on.
In the Pacific, the story is very similar. Allies taking ownership of their security and partnering with the US.
Now let’s just hand Europe over to Russia. That’ll teach em! And by doing so, there couldn’t possibly be any negative consequences for the rest of us.
I hope you like China and Russia running the show after we abandon our allies.
