I guess it’s some what secondary since the kids do seem to be doing well, but the teachers stroooong american accent did make me smile, sounds like my collegues … (wow especially when reading the stories…)
however I don’t see what is the point behind the video, this concept doesn’t seem so innovating, it’s not the first time it has been done.
if ever he is the OP he seems to have a nice class and my mum says an accent is nothing, i would send my kids there.
Yeah, I noticed the accent, too. The teacher said they had a native speaker for half a day, but I didn’t get whether he meant half a day for that one class or whether they shared her with another class or other classes. If it was half a day for that one class, that’s a pretty good deal.
I think that vid was made a few years back. I wonder how those kids’ French turned out.
To me, at least here in Taiwan, the main problem with immersion for kids–or any measure involving taking special pains to place a young learner in an L2 environment, whatever name the measure might be given–is a practical one, namely, cost. Most people here can’t afford it.
