Visa and Business ... I need your help, please

Hello !

Well, I have a question to ask, and hope one of you will be able to answer me. I had lots of hesitations, wondering if I should post it on Business or Visa forum, so I hope you’ll accept all my apologizes if I did a mistake.

Here we go: I’ve found some infos about sole propietorship business in Taiwan, and one of them said that the business owner can live abroad. Maybe it’s true or not, I will ask this on the Business forum.

What Visa should I need to come to Taiwan and incorporate the business, and nothing more than incorporating it ? As it would be a web-based activity, I could run it from abroad (eg: HK) without too many problems, and try come to Taiwan and stay a bit later, once the business makes money.

Is it possible to do this even if I just come as visitor first ?

Well, I have other questions about this but they’re more suitable on the Business forum.

Thanks a lot for your forthcoming answers, this is very important (yes, because of girl, how did you guess), and sorry for my quite tired english, it’s 1:45am right now.

Sincerely
Laurent

No girl is worth migrating for - especially if she broke your heart - just forget her. If you could marry the girl you would be able to live here and operate a business without problems. Without the marriage I don’t think you have much chance. I only know one person in 12 years that managed to open a business and get his original residence from it (before that he was on tourist visas for years).

If you had your foot in the door already with a residence permit it might be a lot easier.

She’s worth, and can’t forget her. Plus, it’s all my fault if I’m heartbroken and without her right now, it’s not her fault, she tried to make things work as hard as she possibly could.

That’s why I wonder if to start a business in HK before, then start a local branch in Taiwan & go there that way might be a better solution.

But, anyway, there’s no easy thing in life, just things more or less difficult, and I don’t want to give up this time. Gave up too often in the past, it cost me too much and if it’s true that we learn from our mistakes, the least I can do to is to give a try. Success or failure, time will tell.
