Just to update, everything worked out. I got my old employer to send in the cancellation of contract notice to the government. Taipei got it just in time. I got my work permit on Monday morning and started on Monday afternoon, as planned. Got the ARC one week later–a nice and shiny new one! :discodance: But, they wouldn’t give me the old one back. Hopefully that won’t cause any problems later…
