Visa-Exempt entry for assorted countries will be restored on 12th of September

My 3 years of prayers have been answered, and it seems it’s a full restoration, so 90-day visas are still a thing. Absolutely amazing, the only irony being that I couldn’t wait any longer and splashed big bucks on school/apartment in Taipei jus ta few weeks ago…if only I knew

Still. It’s such a relief. Just hope nothing else will mess this up or some nasty clause will pop up. Well, you still have to do 3+4, but I suppose this rule will be chopped sooner rather than later.

I would have waited until you were on the ground before splashing out big bucks - just in case…

Not possible. I needed to pay for school to be able to apply for a visa, and then needed a place to live here, obviously.

I don’t totally regret it because I like the school, and living in Taipei grew on me too, but the fact remains I certainly wouldn’t bother with either if knew this is coming.
