Visa for Thailand

Hi!

I’d like to know where to apply for a visa for Thailand as I’d like to go there two months?

Thanks

You get one at international arrivals in Bangkok. At least that’s what I did the last time I went… about 2 months ago.

I don’t think it changed since then.

AFAK, you get a 30 days visa, I want the 59 days visa and have to ask for it before leaving.

So, how about trying the Thai Office in Taipei?

Because I don’t know where’s the Thai office, that’s why I asked the question

Are the 30-day automatic visitors visas for Thailand granted to travelers who are Taiwanese as easily as to westerners?

Yes.

I travelled with a Taiwanese business associate and he had no problem getting his visa at the airport.

Better exchange TWD for THB before you leave Taiwan – the Thais are retaliating against Taiwan (my guess is over the Thai laborers lousy-working-conditions riot) by offering seriously crappy exchange rates there. The market rate right now is about 1.2, but you’d be lucky to find a 1.0 rate in Bangkok, and most are below that.

Or, inswtead of getting a visa, while you’re in Thailand you could make a quick trip to Malaysia or Cambodia, or, if in Northern Thailand, cross over the border from Mae Sai to Tachileik, Burma, and your 30-day stay will automatically be renewed when you cross back into Thailand.

Can get easily in Taiwan at the Thai office, my friend (Taiwanese passport) got it with no problems. And definitely CHANGE YOUR MONEY in Taiwan, the exchange rate is just crap in Thailand. Last time I checked you could only change it at Taiwan Bank and one other place… we got a much better exchange rate. For example, 1.2 for each NT but in Thailand when my other friends exchanged it, it was the opposite – 1 NT for every 1.2 Thai Baht.

And if you look Asian they will prob stop and question you as you leave Customs.
