Visa-free entry for Taiwanese traveling to New Zealand

From December 1st Taiwanese will not require visas to travel to the Land of the Long White Cloud. They will be able to get a 90-day stay on arrival. That’s great news; getting a visa was a hassle and rip-off (a bit over NT$1000) so I am very happy to see this change.

This move was prompted by a dramatic drop in tourist (and student) numbers from Taiwan.

So, if you want to take your Taiwanese concubine to NZ, it will be easier and cheaper.

And worth pointing out to your students if they are looking to study abroad.

And since it’s a reciprocal arrangement you can now invite the whanau over for 90 days, sweet as!

…making it a total of 33 countries that holders of the Republic of China passport can visit without needing visa.
